20 Fellows from 10 European countries met for the first time in late October for the inaugural Fellow Exchange Meeting. They engaged in a lively exchange with each other as well as with Christoph Möllers and the representatives of the Collegium Matej Avbelj and Christoph Grabenwarter and found out more about their projects and positions. Also, they investigated questions of interpretation of the rule of law in the EU during the course of the official launch event of the re:constitution programme. Dieter Grimm, former judge at the German Federal Constitutional Court, gave the fellows a personal insight into his experiences and in particular his reflections on the grown and current relationship between democracy and the rule of law in Europe.
