During his re:constitution Fellowship, Manuel went to the Centre of Excellence in Law, Identity and the European Narratives at the University of Helsinki in Finland. Joined by his family, he stayed for 6 months during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. In 2022, the Finnish Institute of International Affairs - FIIA offered him a Senior Researcher position in Helsinki, which he took up in 2023. He now lives in Helsinki with his family.

Neus was a Fellow in 2019/2020 and Viktoria in 2022/2023. They met during the re:constitution Network and Alumni Conference in 2022 and connected over their shared interest in media freedom and media regulation in Europe. Ever since, they have organised several events about this topic and have co-authored several publications. Most recently, they organised a workshop in Brussels about Access to Information in the Digital Age, funded by Stiftung Mercator. They also co-authored a Verfassungsblog article in which they made the case for a European Access to Information Act. In 2023, during the Fellows' Exchange Meeting in Brussels, they co-organised a panel of journalists, publishers, policy-makers, academics and civil society to discuss the European Media Freedom Act. They also teamed up to host the Verfassungsblog-Symposium “Shifting Paradigms of European Media Regulation” in June 2023. The success of their joint endeavours and the network established throughout these events has prompted them to work on developing an initiative that transcends the yearly events and that brings together journalists, academics and practitioners to discuss and defend media freedom across Europe.

The RESILIOsnapshot series aims to define, operationalise, and analyse the resilience factors of the rule of law identified within the RESILIO model. Institut für Europäische Politik teamed up with leading European experts and practitioners that explain individual importance as well as the ties between resilience factors of the rule of law. The series features snapshots by three re:constitution alumni: Ivo Gruev: Judicial resilience as a systemic factor for rule of law resilience; Stefan Szwed: Political resilience as enabler of rule of law resilience & Neus Vidal Martí: The resilience of public discourse as enabler of rule of law resilience

Our alumna Cecilia Rizcallah, Professor of European law and Human Rights – UCLouvain and Robin Gadbled, Policy Officer at the European Commission published a special issue on 'the Systemic and the Particular in European Law' in the German Law Journal in September 2023.
