We are pleased to share the latest publication by our re:constitution Alumnus Bohdan Bernatskyi! His article, titled "Unpacking Sanctions Data: What Can Sanctions Numbers Teach Us?", published in the December 2024 issue of the e-Journal European Papers, explores the insights that can be drawn from sanctions data and their significance for understanding and improving sanctions mechanisms.
Building on his re:constitution Fellowship, Bohdan Bernatskyi sheds light on how sanctions within the European Union can be analyzed, understood and applied more effectively. His work examines and expands the theoretical concept of smart sanctions while seeking to test and improve their application through empirical data. The article makes a timely contribution to ongoing discussions on the rule of law, international relations and the effectiveness of sanctions.
