Rule of Law, Resilience and Erosion

The conference „Rule of Law, Resilience and Erosion - The Interplay Between Institutional Design and Everday Practice”, which is organized by re:constitution Alumnus Csaba Győry will take place between October 12 and 14 in a hybrid format at the Institute for Legal Studies (Centre for Social Sciences) in Budapest, Hungary.

The aim of the conference is to discuss institutional preconditions for the resilience of the rule of law in the face of threats and instrumentalizations of the legal and administrative system that might occur in the course of erosions of the rule of law.

By inviting various high-profile international scholars – among them Mark Tushnet (William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law emeritus at Harvard Law School) –, the conference intends to foster dialogue on the rule of law resilience and to collaboratively identify major factors of influence across different countries.

The conference is funded by the re:constitution programme.

 

The conference will take place in a hybrid format.
